2023 Election: President-elect, Tinubu Made His First Statement After He Was Declared As The Winner

Bola Tinubu, the president-elect, promised Nigerians on Wednesday that he would be the nation’s top servant and would give the country his all.

The president-elect, Bola Tinubu, pledged to serve Nigeria as the nation’s chief servant and make the most of all his skills during his acceptance speech in Abuja.

 

He also urged his rivals and the opposition to help him in his effort to improve the nation.

According to him, “Let’s collaborate and work together. I promise to work with you.” In attendance were his vice-president-elect, Kashim Shettima, the All Progressives Congress National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, and several APC governors.

Speaking further, the former Lagos State governor, commended Nigerians, particularly those who voted for opposition parties, saying their move helped in deepening democracy in Nigeria.

According to The Punch, the Independent National Electoral Commission named Tinubu, who stood as the APC’s presidential candidate in the election on Saturday, as the winner early on Wednesday. According to the commission’s announcement, Tinubu received 8,794,726 votes to win the 2023 presidential race.
